This is a Northern VA Real Estate Blog.
Many of you don’t watch football. Therefore, I apologize for today’s post. However, we are only a few weeks away from football season and I can hardly contain myself. I love the skins.
Therefore this morning I made my way out to the open practice offered every year by the Redskins free of charge in Ashburn, VA. I wanted to share a few photos with you.

Broadlands Live Concert Series
June 26th, 2008 categories: Broadlands, For Fun
Last Friday night some friends and I took advantage of the free concert series being offered monthly by the Broadlands. I personally wasn’t too impressed by the opening band Road Soda who seemed more like a karaoke band. However, I cannot grant enough accolades to the bank Derek James who had a great sound. I was able to grab a few poor quality photos on my phone camera (captured below). Besides the music, there were kids everywhere of all ages. Broadlands did a fantastic job with all of their sponsors and volunteers setting all of this up.
Broadlands will be holding 3 more outdoor concert events this summer:
July 18 ’80s DRESS UP NIGHT
5:30-6:30 p.m. The Backseat Betties
7-9:30 p.m. Gonzo’s Nose
Aug. 15 CHILDREN’s OPENER
5:30-6:30 p.m. Mr. Chad Band
7-9:30 p.m. Savingnine
Sept. 12 5:30-6:30 p.m. Bad Luck
7-9:30 p.m. Scott’s New Band
Hillside Park (Old Stone House) 42935 Waxpool Road
5:30-9:30 p.m. (weather permitting)

Another Happy Family; Ashburn Buyers
June 13th, 2008 categories: For Fun
Last month I was able to assist a young couple moving from Maryland with finding a great deal on a home in the Broadlands. This family found my services on this site and requested me as their USAA relocation agent. They were a lot of fun to work with and it was a disappointment to conclude the transaction. I wanted to find a gift that would bless their family as they moved in to their new home.
With this family I tried something I had never thought of before. I hired a friend of mine who shoots freelance photography on the side to take this family out to have their first set of family photos taken. It couldn’t have turned out any better. I typically show photos on Fridays so today I want to show you a couple photos of this wonderful family. Congratulations on your new home!

Brambleton Outdoor Concert Series
June 12th, 2008 categories: Brambleton, For Fun
Ashburn and Leesburg are hosting a summer full of concerts and events this year. I am not sure who started this outdoor competition but there is no denying that it is anything less than a battle of the communities. I say, “Let the battle begin while we reap the benefits of a summer full of music and fun!”
Today I will quickly highlight a new concert series in Brambleton that will be held on some Thursdays from 7-9pm near the town center. These concerts should be a lot of fun.
June 5 The Groove (’70s and ’80s)
June 19 Rebelicious (classic rock and country)
July 3 Trio Caliente (Latin, gypsy rumba, and jazz beat)
July 17 Doug Segree (soft rock)
Aug. 7 Jah Works (reggae)
Aug. 21 Gonzo’s Nose (’80s and ’90s)

Northern VA/ Ashburn Storm
June 5th, 2008 categories: Ashburn, Ashburn Village, For Fun
There was an awesome storm yesterday.
I was able to grab some incredible photos of the clouds with my phone while walking my dog . After the storm there were 2 beautiful rainbows. One was incredibly bright. My phone doesn’t do justice but I am sharing it nevertheless.
