This Is Not Acceptable
Statistics show that at least 85% of home buyers begin their search on the web. Depending upon where you live this could be more or less. Buyers do not scour the web for hours for boring data, addresses, and tax information. They spend hours viewing photos.
What is completely shocking to me is that a seller would allow the agent that is representing their “best interest” to post either dark/ unbalanced/ and poor photos, only 1 photo, OR worse… No photos at all. This is not acceptable. While these homes may eventually sale, they are often overlooked by those homes with photos.
There is a great divide in real estate which is revealed by the quality of work put forth. While I think most homes photos should be taken by a professional photographer and not my personal Nikon, the standard of quality must be raised. Don’t let your agent get away with a lack of quality. It will usually cost you more than his commission.

Jonathan, I’d agree, but most sellers don’t closely monitor their agents’ marketing efforts, and aren’t in a marketing mindset to begin with.
The best way to get sellers thinking about the quality of the photos their agents are using is to ask them, “Are the photos your agent is using to market your house *better* or *worse* than the photos used to market the new homes you’re looking at?”
