Yesterday, August 25th, many of Loudoun Counties big shots gathered together for a small auction between a few bidders for one of the largest pieces of land ever up for sale in the area. The land was owned by Greenvest, the counties largest land owner. The land sold was around 75% of their holdings.

The 4,154 acres were divided as follows.. Greenfield- 1,980 acres. Broad Run Village- 1,133 acres. Lenah- 476 acres. Arcola- 565 acres.

The total purchase price was $69 million. The winning bidder was a New York based company called iStar Financial. The other two bidders present where Toll Brothers and a private bidder.
