Battlefield Parkway
Battlefield Parkway is currently a major road connecting Sycolin Rd, Gleedsville, the Greenway, Route 15, and many neighborhoods in southern Leesburg. In Northern Leesburg, it also connects multiple neighborhoods acting as almost an outer bypass.
The problem is that there have been gaps on Battlefield for a while making travel difficult. This will soon end. The major connection will be on the south side when Battlefield Pkwy SE will connect to Route 7. No longer will residents of the south eastern neighborhoods be forced to take the bypass to their homes, which will ease traffic for the area.
Sycolin Road
Sycolin Road in Leesburg isn’t new… In fact, it has been there much longer than most roads in Ashburn and many in Leesburg.
What is new is that the county is finally paving a large portion of this road between Ashburn and Leesburg. This will make a common commute between parts of these two areas much shorter… Sycolin Road is a direct extension of Ashburn Farm Parkway. Imagine a direct route from Route 28 to Leesburg!
