Ashburn Farm… Community Of The Week
Ashburn Farm is one of Ashburn, VA’s largest and oldest communities. The community is centrally located in northern Ashburn between Ashburn Village, the Broadlands, and Belmont Country Club.
A Little History…
Ashburn Farm began development in 1986. The first home was purchased there in 1988. The goal of the developer was to blend the development in with a lot of trees, natural landscape, and winding roads. The majority of Ashburn Farm sits on land originally known as the Gray Dairy Farm.
Land, Living, and Shopping…
Ashburn Farm is a huge development spanning around 1,370 acres! There are 3,844 homes in the community including single family homes, townhomes, condos, and apartments. There are 2 strip malls in the development both built around major grocery stores… Parkhurst Plaza and Junction Plaza. There is also an office development with 3 standing buildings in the Farm known as Professional Plaza.
Fun, Schools, and Day Care…
For being such a large community, Ashburn Farm has one of the lowest HOA dues around. Nevertheless, they lack no amenities. The community offers 3 swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, 8 basketball courts, 2 soccer fields, 19 tot lots, 5 ponds, a sand volleyball court, and miles of walking trails.
The community is home to Sanders Corner Elementary School and Stone Bridge High School. The school districts are currently changing so you will need to check with the county regarding which schools different homes are zoned to attend.
Ashburn Farm is home to 3 day care centers.
