Will Loudoun County Get A Minor League Baseball Team???

    Kincora Stadium Loudoun County

If you have not been paying attention, Loudoun County is really close to getting a minor league baseball stadium named Kincora Stadium.

    Tell Me About It…

The stadium would seat 5,500 people and would be located near the intersection of Route 7 and 28.  This is prime real estate in Loudoun County not currently zoned for a baseball park.   As with everything approved in Loudoun, the developers are promising commercial, residential, and road development along with the proposal (from my limited understanding).

    Will Kincora Stadium Happen???

This is still up for debate with our local officials (hours after me writing this article it was announced that Kincora Stadium has been approved with a 6-2 vote from the county officials).  However, there is pressure for a decision to be made quickly since they would want the park finished by the spring of 2011.  That’s quick!

We are not short on sports in this area but a 5-20 minute drive compared to an hour would be fantastic!  The affordability of going to a minor league game is much lower also.
