SIX Great Reasons To Relocate To Northern VA

northern vaThe Northern VA, DC metro areas offers something for everyone.

Here are the top 6 reasons you will love living in Northern VA.

  1. Beautiful Weather And 4 Changing Seasons.

Northern VA has fewer natural disasters than most places in the US, and the weather remains fairly mild throughout the year.  During the winter we will see a few snowstorms with freezing rain.   The spring and fall are beautiful with the changing of colors, cherry blossoms, and the comfortable temperatures.  Here is a link to the average temperatures in the area.

    2.  Located In A Very Central Part Of The East Coast.

In Northern VA, within a few hours driving you have complete access to some of the best day trips around.  Popular locations include:  DC, Outer Banks, VA Beach, The Eastern Shore, New York City, Delaware, Annapolis, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the Shenandoah Mountains.

   3.  JOBS, JOBS, JOBS

When businesses move in to the area 25% go to DC, 10% to MD, and 65% move in to VA.  The stability of the local economy has been the many job opportunities available through government.  If the government downsizes, this simply means more government contracting jobs within the area.  Either way, the local economy wins.

   4.   Lots Of Things To Do!

At the end of the day it is important that you can enjoy where you live.  I have sold many people’s homes that are moving out of the area.   Many times I hear them say, “There are so many things that we never did while here.”  I had one client moving from the area who left their job 2 weeks early to spend time doing all of the things they never did while living here.

There are many local events, festivals, museums, parks, concerts, community events, etc…  A few to mention:  The National Zoo, The Smithsonian Museums, Georgetown, Great Falls National Park, Shenandoah Mountains, Manassas Battlefield, Downtown Leesburg, The National Mall, Washington Monument, and MANY MORE.

   5.  A Variety Of Housing

Housing can be expensive in the area.  However, there are many options when it comes to styles of neighborhoods and types of homes that are offered in Northern VA.  If you are looking for metro living close to DC, Arlington, Falls Church, and Alexandria are the place to be.  There are more condo options than you will have time to see.  If you are looking for suburban neighborhood living you will love Vienna, Fairfax, Mclean, Reston, or Ashburn living.  Want land with great views?  You should consider Great Falls, Gainesville, Leesburg, Hamilton, or Purcellville.

If you need some professional help at no cost to you, contact me as I will be happy to assist.

  6.  Plenty Of Sports

If you love sports, you will have plenty of options here from Professional to College.  The Northern VA/ DC Metro area host some of the best teams around from the Washington Redskins, Wizards, Capitols, Nationals, Georgetown Hokies, George Mason, and many others.

If you are an international investor or are relocating to the area under CARTUS RELOCATION NETWORK (the largest relo company in the world) I would be more than happy to assist you.
